Monday, March 4, 2024:

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball Team (22-8). They beat Cardinal Mooney to win their 9th State Championship in 12 years. Kayla Nelms led the way with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks, Kaliyah Morales had 11 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals, Kori Edge added 18 points and 3 assists, Sofia Mendez had 11 points and 2 assists, and Jalynn Belton added 4 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.
 
In Friday’s Athletic Action....The Middle School Water Polo Team (0-6) lost to Ransom Everglades 7-6, Belen Blue 14-9, and Belen Gold 10-2. Denzel Asarias led the way 6 goals, Adrian Sanchez had 3 goals, Franco Betancourt and Beckett Growney each added 2 goals, Henry Werner and Stefano Corti each scored, Ashton Michaels made 11 saves, Lorenzo Antonini blocked 7 shots, and Daniel Rozensztroch had 4 assists. The Varsity Baseball Team (0-5) lost to Palmer-Trinity 23-1, Parker Zaron was 1 for 2 with a run scored, Gabe Padilla was 1 for 2 with an RBI, and Eli Zaron struck-out 4 in two innings.
 
On Saturday.....The Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team (2-4) lost to Archbishop McCarthy in five overtimes 8-7. Jonny Port led the way with 3 goals and an assist, Oliver Kozlovski scored 2 goals, Marcus Papunen added a goal and an assist, Brady Lubetsky scored, and Matthew Scemla and Manuel Apraiz added assists. The Girls and Boys Varsity Water Polo results vs. Mast Academy will be in Tuesday’s update.
 
Today......The Softball Team hosts LaSalle at 5pm, and the Varsity Baseball Team travels to Miami-Dade College Kendall Campus to play Riviera Prep at 4pm.
 
In Tuesday’s Athletic Events.......The Girls and Boys Middle School Tennis Teams host Cushman at 3pm, the Middle School Water Polo Team travels to Ransom Everglades at 4pm, the Boys and Girls Varsity Water Polo Teams travel to Ransom Everglades at 4/5pm, the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts Gulliver at 5pm, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team travels to Coral Shores at 4pm, and the Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis Teams travel to University School (Rolling Hills Golf and Tennis Club) at 4:30pm.
