The award winning Center for the Arts at Miami Country Day School provides a collegiate like setting for students that incorporates interactive student learning, a project based curriculum, and a platform for performances and exhibitions.
Welcome to the Center for the Arts!
Equipped with the latest technology that would rival any Arts Centers in the world, the Center for the Arts (CFA) provides a space for all of the arts educational components on campus including the 636-seat John Davies Theater equipped with a working stage, dressing rooms, stage craft and production areas and a high-tech control room. The Alumni Lobby welcomes visitors to the CFA as they make their way to a performance or to class.
The classroom learning environments at the CFA include a middle and upper level Drama Studio that combines to create a black box theater, a dance studio, a music suite with studios for Lower, Middle, and Upper School classes, an ensemble room, practice rooms, and the "Agora" which houses a Steinway piano for impromptu performances, arts suites for all ages, and digital arts and ceramics labs.
The CFA enhances the arts experience for Country Day students, families, and the greater Miami community. No space is left unconsidered for its role in education and student learning.
