Learning Resource Program (LRP) and Tuition
Thank you for your interest in the Learning Resources Program at Miami Country Day School. This specialized program is designed for students with above-average intelligence and a diagnosed learning difference. The class sizes are small in order to disseminate information to your child based on his or her learning style. The Learning Resource Program provides strategies and tools to those students with an identified learning difference while following a college preparatory curriculum. The program does not serve students with behavior challenges. We welcome applications for students in Middle through Upper School.
Additionally, we have one 4th/5th grade multi-age classroom for those students younger than 6th grade and have an identified learning difference. Many of these students will transition into the Learning Resource Program offered beginning in 6th grade available through 12th grade.
While the admission process varies slightly, the class sizes for this program is limited to a small number with an increased tuition. Space is extremely limited for the multi-age and learning resource program since there is only one section of 10-12 students per grade.
All students taking LRP classes will have the same uniform, same elective choices, same break, lunch, and advisory time. The only variation in schedule are the core classes that are taught with a very small class size with information presented to a student taking into consideration their accommodations and learning needs.
