The Moore Merit Scholarship

Miami Country Day School offers The Moore Merit Scholarships for select rising 9th graders for the 2020-21 school year!

This merit based award is available to all students who are entering Miami Country Day their freshman year. The award will vary between partial to potential full-tuition awards.

The competition for the Academic Merit Awards will be based on the following criteria:
  • Performs well on scholarship test given on December 7th
  • Enrolled in honors level classes in 8th grade with mostly A’s
  • Demonstrates a history of strong standardized test scores
  • Exemplifies core values of Miami Country Day: honor, respect, wisdom, and compassion
  • Commits to Miami Country Day School as first choice (if also an applicant for admissions to Miami Country Day)
Current Miami Country Day 8th grade students will be sent a private invitation to sit for this exam based on the above criteria. We will notify award winners in March of 2020.

The 2020-2021 exam registration is closed as the exam is scheduled for December 2019. Recipients of the Moore Merit Academic Scholoarship will be announced on March 1st with admission descisions. Check back early summer for the open registration to be considered for an Academic Merit Scholarship for the 2021-2022 school year.

*Financial aid requests can be applied for through TADS through January 31st 2019 to be considered for the 2020-2021 school year.
