n Wednesday’s Athletic Events....The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (18-8) beat Ransom Everglades 84-29. Kayla Nelms led the way with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, Kaliyah Morales had 12 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals, Jalynn Belton added 12 points, and Kori Edge had 12 points, 4 steals, and 5 assists. The Girls Varsity Tennis Team (4-0) beat Palmer-Trinity 4-3. Elian Shtern, Natalia Marquez, and Cayenne Petit all won their singles matches, and Eliana and Rebecca Apfelbaum won their doubles match. The Boys Varsity Tennis Team (3-0) beat Palmer-Trinity 5-2. Lucas Bacardi Shriftman, Oscar Bergier, and Francisco Apraiz won their singles matches, and Lucas and Oscar, Francisco and Michael Claramonte won their doubles matches. The Girls Middle School Tennis Team (1-0) beat Palmer-Trinity 5-2. Gracie Schinman, Soleil Price, Alexandra Holtz, Lola Shapiro, and Cecile Assali all won their singles matches. The Boys Middle School Tennis Team (0-1) lost to Palmer-Trinity 5-2. Emilio Lopez and Daniel Shtern won their singles matches. The Softball Team beat Mater Lakes Academy in a pre-season game 3-2. Collins Ames recorded the win, striking out 10 and allowing 0 earned runs, Maggie Houser singled and drove in a run, and Gracey McCoy stole 3 bases.
Today.......The Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts Coral Reef at 6pm, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team travels to Key West at 6pm, the Girls and Boys Middle School Tennis Teams travel to Gulliver at 3:30pm, the Softball Team plays in a pre-season game at Palm Springs North Park at 4pm, and the Boys Varsity Basketball Team travels to Hialeah Educational Academy (Bucky Dent Park) to participate in the Regional Quarterfinals at 7pm.
