On Wednesday......The Boys Middle School (JV) Basketball Team (5-6) lost to True North Academy 34-28. Enzo Porchetto led the way with 13 points and 7 rebounds, Julio Aguirre had 4 points and 2 rebounds, Luca Bosch added 5 rebounds and 2 steals, Maddox Smith had 2 points, 4 steals, and 2 rebounds, Rogan Turk had 2 rebounds and 2 steals, and August Espenkotter added 2 points and 3 rebounds.
In Thursday’s Athletic Action....
The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (12-8) beat North Broward Prep to win the Palm League Championship 70-20. Kori Edge led the way with 15 points, 4 steals, and 3 assists, Kaliyah Morales had 14 points, 4 steals, and 2 assists, Kayla Nelms added 6 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists, Jalynn Belton had 8 points, 2 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists, and Jada Johnson added 8 points, a steal, and an assist.
The Girls Varsity Soccer Team (4-8-2) beat Marathon on “Senior Night” 8-0. Lilly Nolet led the way with 2 goals, Paige Dent, Cristina Hernandez , Janna Celestin, Milla Juric, Olivia Ortiz, Mila Crespo all scored, and Simone Levy, Natalia Pantin Escudero, and Mila Crespo all combined for the shutout.
The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (2-12) beat Marathon on “Senior Night” 2-1 Nico Margarit and Dylan Meyer each scored, Brad Flick and Oscar Bergier added assists, and Oliver Shiff, Manuel Apraiz, Greg Meyer, and Gabriel Jaramillo all played well.
The Boys Middle School Soccer Team (12-8) lost to Gulliver in the South Florida Middle School championship game 3-2. Adrian Almeida and Balta Kaplan each scored, and Cody Mitchell, Julian Berzosa, Kenzo Fadigan, Sebastian Reyes, Sebastian Arango, Benjamin Fernandez De Castro, Mauricio Molina Montiel, Nicolas Jaramillo, and Mayer Wolfson all played well.
Today......The Girls Varsity Soccer Team hosts Saint Andrew’s School at 5pm, the Boys Varsity Soccer Team hosts North Broward Prep at 7pm, the Boys Middle School (Varsity) Basketball Team travels to Westwood Christian at 4pm, and the Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Team hosts Archbishop McCarthy at 3:30pm.
On Saturday.......The Girls Varsity Basketball Team will host Doral Academy in their annual “Senior Game” at 5pm.
